What are the Best Blenders for Frozen Fruit?

What are the Best Blenders for Frozen Fruit?

Whether you are blending them up for a smoothie, or making your own yogurt flavors, chopping frozen fruit can often be a difficulty. By hand it is tedious and time consuming, but not all blenders are up to the challenge of pureeing some rock solid apple chunks. Here is where we take a bit of a look at some of the blenders on the market and see which the best blender is for you.

Vitamix Professional Series 750

This machine is the king of chopping, the prince of pureeing and all around incredibly powerful.  It comes with a wide blade to keep fruits from getting missed by the blades and revs up to a peak of 2.2 horsepower. With a 64 oz container, you can blend enough for a whole party. It is by far the most expensive, but you can be certain that you will get the best blender for all manner of frozen fruit.

Pros

  • Powerful
  • Large container
  • Several Speeds and settings

Cons

  • Difficult to clean
  • Loud
  • Expensive

Ninja Professional Blender

Coming in next is this little powerhouse of performance. The Ninja Pro has 1100 watts of power, capable of pulverizing any manner of frozen fruits and veggies. It has a large 72 oz pitcher to create something delicious for the whole family and is dishwasher safe. It has several different settings, including one specifically for frozen blending, and comes with two personal cups, making the best blender for on the go.  It is plastic, rather than glass, so there is that issue with standing up against stains from blueberries and other messy fruits.

Pros

  • Designed for blending frozen vegetables
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Powerful

Cons

  • Plastic pitcher can break down over time
  • Loud
  • May require extra blending time for large chunks of fruit

This is the affordable option to the Ninja and the Vitamix, coming in at just under 80 USD. But don’t let that fool you into thinking it is any less capable than the others. The Oster Pro 1200 comes with 1200 watts of power and 900 of ice crushing power. It has seven settings and the ability to pre-program your most common blends into the machine.  It is the sort of machine you can set up and step away from, rather than needing to hover over it.

Pros

  • Best blender for ice
  • Pulse feature to add control to blending
  • Sealable personal container

Cons

  • Can leak if not reassembled correctly after cleaning
