New Year, New You. 15 Inspirational Quotes for 2015

Life is what you make it, always has been, always will be. -John Lennon

The transition from one year to another is a hugely significant time. There is a real symbolism in reviewing the past and envisioning the future. It is a period for both reflection and renewal.

But how will you narrate the tale of the old year and how will you begin to tell the story of the new? You are truly the author of your life. You hold the pen in your hand and every day is a fresh, bright new page.

Beneath our layers of expectation, lie our beliefs and values; the constant background tape we play in our heads, often without really noticing or being aware of the things we say to ourselves.

You can begin to construct a new you if you choose, by ejecting that old tape and replacing it with a more positive and helpful one.

As the author of your life, you can choose what you write; to explore ideas which will become your goals that will eventually become your achievements. Yet you might not truly understand that you have a choice, too, about the things you constantly think and say to yourself.

If you are beating yourself up with negative internal statements, the chances are you are limiting your expectation of the coming year without even realizing it.

Thought replacement

How much better to replace negative, self limiting statements with much more positive and motivational ones.

In the spirit of New Year, new you, here are 15 of the most empowering and life affirming quotes to inspire you for your coming year.

Will you play them as the back tape to 2015?

It’s your choice!
